Many children laugh and play their way through childhood with very little need for medical care. Other children have special needs that may require the assistance of medical professionals to become more successful in everyday life.
At Horizon Therapy Services, a team of specially trained pediatric therapists work together to maximize each child's independence at home in school and at play.
Horizon Therapy Services serves children with special needs. Such special needs might be due to a child being born prematurely and later exhibiting developmental delays or learning disabilities. Others might be born with congenital problems such as Cerebral Palsy or Down Syndrome. Still others have suffered head injuries or accidents causing orthopedic problems. Children with special needs require a supportive environment in which to develop their motor, visual, self-help academic and communication skills to their fullest abilities.
Horizon Therapy Services staff can provide children the support they need to succeed. Specific problems our center addresses include but are not limited to:
• Feeding Difficulty (Direct and Small Group)
• Sensory Processing Disorders
• Communication Difficulties
• Neurological Impairment
• Visual Perceptual Disorders
• Autistic Spectrum Disorders
• Fine Motor Delay
