Providing a center-based early intervention program for children ages 18-36 months
At Playabilities we strive to incorporate a variety of sensory and developmentally appropriate experiences into our program to maximize each child’s overall growth and development. Through strong collaboration, our team members strive to generate creative interventions, solution, and strategies for team defined issues and goals.
Playabilities is dedicated to support the overall growth and development of children who are exhibiting a mild to moderate developmental delay. Through an individualized program we strive to assist parents in helping their child to develop to his or her fullest potential.
Our program encourages global development through specialized centers: sensory motor, gross motor, cognition, fine motor, and pre-speech/oral motor.

Parents and caregivers are supported through ongoing education and training at the center. Our staff offers educational parent workshops once every month. They will demonstrate other opportunities to interact with your children at home, as well as answer any questions parents may have.Monthly newsletters are created for parents, which have upcoming events, birthdays and workshop topics.
Your active involvement is vital. Development in all children is guided not by their natural abilities, but also by parent modeling and interaction. For the child with a developmental delay, the parent is an essential and valuable teacher. Your knowledge of your child is invaluable and will help the educational staff to better meet your child’s needs.
Your Educational Staff
Your educational staff works in partnership with you to understand the needs of your child’s and assists you in enhancing you child’s development. The staff is educated and trained in childhood development, recognizes delays and knows how to facilitate growth through appropriate developmental activities.
Your Therapeutic Staff
Through Horizon Therapy Services, the Playabilities Program has staffed occupational therapists, physical therapists and speech language pathologists. Our licensed therapists have certifications and sub-specialties in the areas of sensory integration, alternative communication, neuro-developmental treatment and adaptive mobility.
Who is Eligible? Toddlers from 18 to 36 months with: Significant developmental delay Established risk conditions High risk of having a substantial developmental disability
Your child is referred to Playabilities through your Infant Services Coordinator. After assessment of your child and determination of eligibility, an Individualized Family Service Plan will be created, which is written annually and reviewed quarterly. With eligibility, there is no cost to your family for Playabilities Services.
